I am a Seattle-based designer and writer specializing in content creation, information architecture, and interaction design for the web.

I delight in crafting web-based user experiences that help create passionate users of your product or site.

I have a passionate interest in smart and easy end-user access to information of all kinds, whether it is in-the-box documents, knowledge bases, or product information. I see access to information as a key to a successful user experience.

So if you feel like your web site is too difficult to use or navigate, if you feel that your site is lacking that certain something that thoughtful design can bring, I can help.

In working with me, you’ll find someone who doesn’t just have the usual combination of technical skills, but who also has vision and a sense of inspiration built on top of a passion for web technology, a talent for information design, a deep need to help everyday people use the web in ways that will help them achieve their goals.

I am deeply offended that the world is filled with so much difficult-to-use, poorly designed (i.e. crap) technology, and I want to do something about it by making the web a less intimidating place for folks who just want stuff to work, who just see this Internet Thing as a means to an end, whether that end is to find just the right bike tour, to get an actual phone number for Amazon.com customer support, or to find more information about ingrown toenails.

In short, in me, you’ll find someone who has the inspiration to combine innovative yet simple design with standard web technology to help make web sites whose clean layout and visual appeal make them both useful and usable.
